The intricacies of the structure of league rugby dealt Park a helping hand on Saturday despite suffering another defeat in what has been a wholly forgettable season.
Despite finishing bottom of Counties 1 Kent, Park survived due to no team being relegated into the league.
Following a fantastically observed minute’s silence in honour of Steve Olding, the game was played in great spirit, but with little alacrity or excitement.
Park bade farewell to Terry Read as lead coach and look forward to welcoming Shae Tucker next season, when hopefully our fortune will change on the pitch.
Enjoy the summer, see you in September
