Park suffered a heavy home defeat in the gloom of a January afternoon to a well drilled and clinical Heathfield side.
The visitors raced into a 19-0 lead before the half hour with 3 well taken tries although Park hit back a a try of their own, just before half time, through Bill Sandison.
The second half continued in a similar vein, with Heathfield scoring another 4 tries to one from Park, scored by Conor Lane, playing out of position on the left wing.
Final score Charlton Park 10 Heathfield and Waldron 45.
Despite some old heads returning to the fray, Park’s cause was hindered once again by late cry offs, and unavailability (‘it’s my girlfriend’s birthday’)
A reminder to all, of the club’s motto-
Deeds not words.
Next Saturday is a rest week, the season. continues on February 1st with a visit to Crowbrough
