Rest in Peace

It is with a deep and profound sadness that Charlton Park RFC announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Pauline Harding.

Pauline has been associated with Charlton Park for the last three decades. Firstly as someone who attended our social functions back in the 1990’s, as a supporter who would be heard cheering on son’s Luke and Matt - I can still hear her shouting ‘Come on Park’ at the top of her voice. And more latterly as the manager of our bar and catering functions.

She was a close friend of Dave and Amanda Parris and their children grew up together. I was introduced to her by Joe Parry back in the day at one of our famous summer barbecues and I also got to know her through work where she worked for Thamesmead Community College in its office and I worked for Bexley Council in the schools finance section.

In a recent committee meeting Doug described Pauline as being reliable and trustworthy. Every club needs a Pauline and she is going to be greatly missed by loved ones, friends, work colleagues and others who knew her.

The entire Charlton Park family sends its collective love, support and sincerest condolences to Luke, Matthew, Mark and the extended family of Pauline. May she rest in peace.

You can leave tributes on our social media channels.
